Happy holidays!

SPM is 19 days away and many (alhamdulillah!) of my students expressed their worries over the coming holidays before SPM (Deepavali & Aidiladha). And many among them (subset kepada yang worry ni) decided to stay in school during Aidiladha. Gasp! (Is the thing i would do if i was still a warden)

"Takut tak boleh nak study lah teacher!"

Yes yes. I know it is hard to study back at home with all the FB-ing, DOTA-ing, BLOG-ging, TWITTER-ing to catch up with. To resist the irresistible, you will need a STRONG WILLPOWER, MOTIVATION & a lot of HELP.

My suggestions would be:
after giving yourself a well earned (ahem) rest for a day,

  1. plan REALISTIC schedule for you to follow. realistic a.k.a not impossible for you to follow like have up to 30-40 minutes slot (depends on your attention span) for each subject you want to study, include 5 - 10 minute breaks after each session and etc
  2. discuss the schedule with your parents and siblings so that they will understand your need and give you space.
  3. turn off ALL your gadgets (phones, laptops, and the likes) when you start.
  4. BERDOA dengan bersungguh2.wholeheartedly.then you start studying.
  5. after 4-5 study session, give yourself a MINI reward with whatever you like. Example: a FB status update, or a quickie DOTA (is there such a thing?) with friends, a short blog post, a cone of ice cream.. but be moderate.
  6. ISTIQAMAH- dan bertawakkal-lah!
Ok. i think that's enough bebelan for today. Thank you and enjoy your holidays!
